ReVision Energy is looking to add to our commercial sales team by including a Commercial Solar Advisor position to qualify incoming commercial and land leads and then assign them to our sales team.
Commercial solar leads include commercial, industrial, municipal, school, and nonprofit entities interested in solar and related opportunities.
Land leads include private and public owners of land on which solar farms could be developed.
This will be a full-time, 40-hour/week position.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in the renewable energy industry, be comfortable talking with clients about various options available to them, and be able to identify potential solutions and clear next steps for the customer.
This full-time position, which requires an in-office presence of 1 day per week, is company-wide and offers the flexibility to report to any of our office locations.
Core Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Qualify Incoming Commercial Solar and Land Leads
Call/Email Customers who express interest in one of our commercial products
Identify the Site where solar will go as well as potential load to offset
Collect Electric Bill(s)
Identify and map Land of interest to lease; determine proximity to three-phase power and associated substation, if information is available
Discuss rough project costs; lease payments; and incentives available
If site/load does not align with onsite solar suggest CSF opportunities; discuss rough pricing
If School or Municipality lead, identify if there will be an RFP/RFQ process
Assess where in the Sales process the customer is; whether or not they have received other quotes; if they are in preliminary stages, etc
Enter all relevant data into CRM and update on a regular basis; including adding notes in CRM; scheduling activity follow-ups; assigning leads to Sales Person or closing as appropriate
Identify Targets for PV Sales to reach out to
Follow up with customers who have solar installed, checking in on their system, assist with sending out marketing gifts/one year anniversary cards
Demonstrated interest in the equitable and just transition away from fossil fuels
Enthusiasm, passion, and awareness about the renewable energy industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer relationship-building skills
Relevant background in energy, sustainability, natural resources, or related areas desired
Ability to work independently and cooperate with supervisor and teammates
Competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with CRM systems desired
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and work efficiently
Attention to detail, ability to focus on task
Ability to work at a fast pace, and adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
Holds high expectations of the quality of own work output
