*Technical Sales and Marketing Associate *
Are you looking for a marketing position in the field of environmental and atmospheric climate science? We are a small R&D company (65-70 people) 26 miles out of Boston that specializes in measuring air quality, greenhouse gases, and atmospheric chemical processes.
We also design and sell research grade atmospheric gas and particle analyzers.
Our research improves current understanding of air pollution and global climate change and guides policy which leads to cleaner air and a more sustainable future.
Over the past two decades, our research has led to the development of 20+ highly precise instruments for measuring gases and aerosols in the atmosphere.
We use these instruments in our own research and also sell them all over the world to universities, research institutions, and government agencies engaged in similar research.
We are a highly collaborative scientific organization with global impact.
*Summary: *
We are looking for an individual with marketing and sales skills who can help support and further advance our instrumentation business.
The candidate should also have technical and scientific interest and knowledge.
*Responsibilities:*
*Marketing Associate *
* Generate, track and report on instrument quotes
* Develop product knowledge on our instrument technologies as well as their applications to effectively interact with prospective customers
* Attend scientific conferences (numbers vary per year) located in the US and globally to work in our exhibition booth and help guide customers to proper scientist for indepth discussions
* Respond to multi-step online tenders (proposal requests) from universities and government agencies all over the world
*R&D Proposals *
* Coordinate and submit R&D proposals including: review solicitations, prepare checklist with assigned roles, open proposal #, arrange folder on server, send out proposal authorization
* Prepare bios, current & pending support forms for submission
* Collaborate with scientists to submit all pieces of the proposal through various online platforms
* Track upcoming proposal submissions and monitor various sites for new opportunities
*Required Experience: *
* Environmental Sciences or other science-based degree
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Minimum of 3-5 years experience
* Proven experience developing responses to detailed requests for proposals (RFPs)
* Technical and scientific knowledge
* A passion for our mission
* Comfortable interacting with scientists from around the world
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to track and follow through on several projects at one time
* Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
*Preferred Skills: *
* Experience with Netsuite’s ERP a plus
* Some knowledge of with graphics based software
