The Sr.
Global Brand Strategy Manager is responsible for managing, growing, and measuring AMD’s corporate brand.
This role supports the business by working across the company to elevate and drive growth for the AMD brand, building brand marketing campaigns, transforming world-wide brand guidance, and fortifying robust governance to drive better awareness, preference, and consistency.
You’ll be working closely with the creative, product marketing, regional marketing teams and agencies of record to ensure alignment, appropriate brand promotion/positioning, and efficient workflows, and communications across workstreams and team members.
The Person:
It requires strength in people skills and communication, as two important parts of the job are building productive, collaborative relationships across WWM and synthesizing information into concise executive summaries that can drive fruitful discussion and timely decision-making.
This role will lead and manage key strategic initiatives: increasing awareness and strengthening perception of AMD as a premium brand; activating the brand through partner storytelling and campaigns; operationalizing the brand governance system, increasing employee engagement and advocacy, and ensuring all customer facing communications are on-brand.

Key Responsibilities:
Position the company as the leader in high performance and adaptive computing.
Lead a team of brand managers, specialists, and contractors to deliver on corporate, WWM, and brand objectives.
Collaborate with the creative team and external agencies located in Austin and CA to develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's message and drive brand awareness.
Write multi-year brand development plan incorporating both internal and external audiences and objectives.
Oversee development of annual external brand activation plan, focused on telling the AMD Story and creating and execute impactful brand marketing programs, leading and advising Campaign manager in the research, development, and execution.
Lead the ongoing management, implementation of and adherence to updated brand guidelines, tonality, visual identity, and digital deployment.
Oversee brand measurement: corporate brand tracking, analysis, and report out, and primary research to deliver actionable insights.
Initiate brand audits to evaluate brand perception and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
Serve as escalation path for brand governance and campaigns managers.
Negotiate and manage agency of record retainer.
Manage annual budget as it relates to brand programs and resources.
In addition to serving as the team’s hub, you will contribute to brand and marketing strategy, manage special projects as they arise relating to strategic corporate initiatives and use your resourcefulness to solve problems.
Preferred Experience:
Progressive experience in marketing, with focused experience on brand management.
Global experience, ideally, within a big, technology company.
Hands-on experience with planning and implementing a successful global brand strategy.
Understands all aspects of the marketing mix.
Expertise in digital marketing and social media.
Experience working with internal and external creative agencies.
Academic credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
MBA a plus.
