Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) is searching for a Corporate Partnerships Coordinator! In this new, full-time, hybrid-based position, you will serve as an integral member of the Fund Development Team.
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will support the effort to retain and increase funding from current corporate partners and sponsors, along with supporting the effort to develop and execute strategies to aggressively establish new corporate relationships.
As this position may require travel within the council service area and occasional travel outside the council service, possession of a valid driver’s license and access to motor vehicle is preferred.
As a Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, you will: Identify, cultivate, and help manage the solicitation of corporate partners from $1,000 to six-figure, multi-year financial commitments.
Identify, organize, and implement solicitation and cultivation strategies through Board members, GSEMA Leadership, event host committee members, community leaders, and new business relationships.
Maintain corporate partner databases, including files, correspondence, and benefits.
Work closely with designated team members on event planning and sponsorships, including working with event Host Committees on identifying prospects, and cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding event sponsors, in addition to coordinating corporate grant efforts, and supporting the creation of effective corporate grant proposals.
Identify new and creative opportunities for corporate partnerships and support.
Help devise and facilitate strategies for securing support.
This includes ensuring that visibility and recognition are planned and implemented in accordance with a donor’s wishes.
Develop a comprehensive short and long-term corporate partnership fundraising prospect list with specific goals for both established corporate partners as well as potential new funders.
Participate in budget planning, goal setting, and strategic planning to assist with the creation of the development team’s annual operating plans.
Here is what you need to be successful in this role: College degree or equivalent experience At least 2 years of work experience, including familiarity with corporate relations, data integrity and analysis.
Some understanding of fundraising cycles and best practices, donor engagement strategies, and donor stewardship.
Donor data-base experience on managing prospects, and the management and reporting of metrics/key indicators.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
Experience with a prospect management software program.
Research skills and some knowledge of the Eastern Massachusetts business community.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Demonstrated success working productively as a team member.
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with the Fund Development Team, across other departments, and with internal and external leadership.
Exceptional organization and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with great attention to detail.
Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve practical problems and successfully manage a variety of variables and personalities; ability to adapt in a changing environment.
