OVERVIEW The Director, Market Access Hospitals will partner with key academic centers, large Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) to ensure favorable portfolio access in support of Lantheus’ broader market access strategy.
The successful candidate will engage with key decision makers to implement and pull through market access strategies while also serving as an integral part of the site setup process for adopting Lantheus’ first radioligand therapy.
Strong business acumen and relationships with key senior stakeholders in these accounts will be critical for success in this role.
This newly created position plays a vital and strategic role within our growing market access team.
As a key member of the market access team, they will actively monitor market conditions, payer policy, and access to inform critical decisions and shape future access strategies.
This role focuses on obtaining and protecting access for Lantheus’ flagship product, PYLARIFY, as well as current and future products in the portfolio.
The successful candidate will engage with key decision makers to implement and pull through market access strategies while also serving as an integral part of the site setup process for adopting radioligand therapy.
Role will report to Sr.
Director Hospital Accounts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as market access account lead for major IDNs and large academic institutions in their assigned regions.
Build sustainable collaborations for health systems against shared priorities/common interests to deliver long-term value and drive portfolio growth through strategies designed to maintain or improve brand access.
Manage and coordinate resolution of reimbursement issues by collaborating with internal Lantheus teams and respective imaging center/hospital staff.
Identify, develop, and execute business opportunities by focusing on appropriate positioning and messaging of Lantheus products within assigned and customer segments.
Proactively identify and resolve any potential issues and challenges in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Execute Market Access educational programs in respective region where applicable.
Drive quarterly business reviews in large population health accounts.
Develop and implement strategies and tactics to support patient access, coverage, coding, and payment in assigned accounts.
Drive brand growth through strategies designed to maintain or improve brand access.
Build relationships with and implement market access strategy with key hospital and imaging center personnel.
Coordinate and communicate with other commercial functions (e.
g.
, marketing, sales, etc.
) to ensure all market access needs are met across the organization.
Serves as a strategic partner to other Lantheus partners, sharing business insights on accounts and market trends.
Collaborate with cross functional colleagues to pull through processes and policies established by payers.
CAPABILIITIES / COMPETENCIES Technical proficiency of U.
S.
drug reimbursement and access (e.
g.
, coverage, coding and payment) is required.
Demonstrated ability to develop credible relationships at high levels within accounts to include Service Line and C-Suite personnel.
Works effectively in a team-based organization, collaborates cross-functionally, and builds alignment around key objectives at all levels.
Strategic planning, execution, and project-management along with excellent analytical and communication skills are required.
Ability to partner closely with market access strategy, payer marketing, and other field and home office roles across the organization to drive preferred access and coverage at assigned accounts.
Executive presence and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders in assigned accounts.
Experience in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, imaging, or diagnostics preferred.
Demonstrates a broad understanding of the US payer market; has experience with both Commercial and public payers and understands the decision-making process for new therapeutics and imaging agents within the payer community.
Experience working with hospital billing and coding staff.
Ability to thrive in a cross-functional working environment.
Field-based role; must be a self-starter with ability to work independently and organize own work without continuous direct supervision.
