Job Purpose The Vice President of Business Development, Medical commercial vertical is a critical new addition to our leadership team.
Reporting to the CCO, the successful candidate will assume a highly visible role within the company, responsible for building and leading the Medical commercial vertical, including sales, field application engineering, and marketing.
The successful candidate must have proven skills in understanding medical device products and strategically assessing medical business opportunities.
This will require competence across a broad spectrum of functions specific to medical devices, including in-depth knowledge of the orthopedic implant and medical devices.
The candidate will also need to understand P&L management, product design, marketing and operations specific to this market vertical.
Also important are the intricacies of the end product and business requirements such as FDA compliance etc.
The successful candidate has been steeped in the management of global business and customer dynamics and has a keen knowledge and awareness of competitive services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities Establish VulcanForms' medical commercial strategy and roadmap Recruit and build a world-class medical commercial team Establish processes around competitive pricing analysis, gross margin prediction and forecasting, total revenue forecasting, and market vertcal growth Establish operational benchmarks, timelines, resources, and budgets needed to achieve commercial goals Implement customer engagement processes, structures, and rigor that results in continuously improving sales performance, flexibility, and timely reporting Identify, lead, and negotiate strategic deals to attain revenue and margin goals successfully.
Penetrate large accounts at the C-Level to maximize the value of new and existing relationships Provide other VulcanForms executives with business, technical, and sales expertise in the medical market Cultivate relationships with customers and industry experts to maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape of the market to be the most effective in our environment Possess excellent communication skills, radiating confidence that elicits instant credibility both within VulcanForms and with our current and future clients Develop strong relationships with the entire team at VulcanForms, quickly earning a reputation as a reliable and respected leader Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Technology and Manufacturing industries Previous experience in the healthcare industry and medical device experience is required.
Operational experience is highly valued for this role Highly motivated and competitive with strong initiative, prospecting, and sales close ability Possesses established and current relationships with medical leadership teams Previous experience in the identification and validation of market opportunities for medical Established experience in prospect targeting, engagement, proposal development, negotiation, closing, post-closing participation, and optimization Experience developing targeted presentations for specific audiences desiring to learn more about services, solutions, product offerings, and technology support services Must be an effective leader, excellent communicator, compassionate, with integrity and fidelity to VulcanForms, investors, and employees Demonstrated strong experience and business acumen in developing market access strategies and sales initiatives.
International market access experience is a plus.
