Product Owner.
The Senior Product Owner will create and manage a portfolio of Products based on a strategic vision derived from voice-of-customer and market intelligence.
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for the revenue and profit growth of targeted offerings.
Portfolio segments to include Power Conversion (rectifiers & inverters), Power Monitoring (sequence event recorders), Power Transformation & Conditioning (transformers & filter systems), Power Storage (UPS), and Power Test & Validation (Load Banks).
This role will report to Trystar’s Director of Marketing, and will be based in Troy MI, Burnsville, MN, Faribault, MN, Merrimack NH, Murfreesboro, TN, or Houston, TX.

In this role you will get to: Lead Product strategy development and delivery for Trystar Lead revenue growth via selling product offerings including Power Conversion (rectifiers & inverters), Power Monitoring (sequence event recorders), Power Transformation & Conditioning (transformers & filter systems), Power Storage (UPS), and Power Test & Validation (Load Banks).
Build and develop talented high-performance team.
Develop and execute annual business category plans achieving financial, sales, share, inventory, warranty, and other agreed upon measurement targets.
Develop life cycle mgt, financial performance, demand planning, new product developments, & competitive assessment Drive collaboration and coordination between departments to achieve Trystar strategic objectives including working collaboratively to mitigate impediments with Business Development (Sales), Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Ownership, and Quality.
Develop a strong partnership with Business Development (Sales) to deliver product line growth through focused customer initiatives, training of internal and external stakeholders/customers, joint market research and develop sales promotion strategy and guidelines.
Accountable for P&L performance for assigned product categories.
Product life cycle mgt, financial performance, demand planning, new product developments, & competitive assessment Lead cross-functional teams aligning product release plans and setting new functionalities for new product launch and management efforts.
Identify and execute new products and business development opportunities culminating into a product roadmap.
Develop & present recommended strategies, objectives, actions & business plans to leadership team.
Establish an operating model and environment to deliver strong team performance.
Understanding of customer + industry economics supporting design of optimal go to market strategy Conduct market and customer research to measure Trystar market share, customer requirements and market needs, and test new product concepts.
Gather competitive intelligence to identify positioning relative to competitors and determine future position relative to competitors.
Provide content for marketing collateral as it relates to promotion, web site, advertising, public relations, and in-person events.
Work with Marketing to create needed digital and print campaigns.
Understanding of enterprise and product brand strategies Understanding of value elements & willingness to pay as well as targeted value props to create pricing strategy that benefits overall Trystar business and maximizes margin and growth; including implementation of field guidelines to enable fast decision-making and approving or rejecting pricing outside of guidelines.
Partner with Customer Experience team to create support materials and product and sales training for new and current services offerings.
Develop an intimate understanding of the customer journey and anticipate customer needs throughout the journey with tools to support and enhance it with a best-in-class experience.
Able to implement VOC/OVOC tool kits enabling understanding of customer pains, gains, unmet needs and translate that into comprehensive solution offerings.
Ensure safety within the department is maintained at all times.
Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree 7+ years’ experience with thorough knowledge of commercial & industrial electrical products business models, marketing, product management, product owner, sales, or engineering experience managing portfolios.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills Proven track record (7+ years) in successfully driving end to end processes.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Initiative, active engagement to achieve goals including proactive measures.
Strategic and analytical thinking and orientation to achieving Trystar objectives.
Change management with demonstration of thought leadership, collaboration, and influence.
Previous Product Manager / Product Owner / Strategic Marketing experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering (MBA is a plus) Prior project-based business experience managing complex portfolios in the commercial or industrial electrical industry.
Curiosity to develop creative, differentiated solutions based on resolving identified problems for Trystar customers enabling enhanced value capture for Trystar.
Strong technical aptitude, analytical, and computer skills.
